JUST LET THIS BOOK END ALREADY

I’ve been reading this book for a while because people said it was good and according to some guy who wrote (still writes?) NYT book reviews, this book “should be required reading first the entire human race”. But I don’t understand what’s happening

Randomly chose this book to read on Libby, and it’s not too bad.

All I can say is - why didn’t I start reading this book sooner?

Apparently one of the main characters died and I didn’t remember?

It’s felt like I’ve been reading this book for 20 hours and I’m not even a fifth done… I’m scared I will never finish this book.
