Very dry reading material. Perfect as a memory aide for those that were there, or a reference guide for their descendants. Not so much a tale as it is an expanded chronology of events. I'm glad it emphasises the camraderie between French and Soviet forces, but for the most part the 'activity' is lacklustre in description. May yet become a 'Did Not Complete' [reading] book.
