I was looking for outback survival stories, and I found this. Some parts are a bit unbelievable, but it's worth the effort.

I'm irate at a fictional novel. Two officers are trying to fob off a family member. Like, the police don't know these tourists, but their families do. (Yes I'm thinking about Celine Crmr who went missing). Another thing that's annoyed me is this witness who 'isn't much with computers.' The last few books had older people being incompetent with them too.

Sally is caller her mum by her first name. Damn I hate that.

I don't get these people. The missing persons car is found next to an old mine site. There are strange sounding owls around there, and NO ONE has thought to have a poke around in the area. Sometimes an owl that sounds like a woman is actually a woman.

Boring as batshit thus far. Great if you're a storm chaser, utterly useless if you're after the romantic element. I've just skipped 10% of them chasing a storm. If I wasn't so far in I'd DNF it.

So far this is not grabbing me. I'm not sure if it's the forward mentioning tentacles, the fact they're nephilim, or the story sucks. It's a retelling of A Christmas Carol so far.

Just once I'd like the couple to stay together, talk honestly and work things out before getting to live happily ever after.
