I’m having SUCH a hard time with the disconnect between the serious prologue and how immature Fi is. Idk if I can handle it.

I'm liking everything a lot - minus the reason for wanting to "get even"

This reads quite juvenile in the blurs of background info shoved into paragraphs

I’m not sure if it’s because this is a spin off series, but I feel like there’s been like no world building.

She’d outright lie to protect someone that she thinks could potentially be a mole/traitor?

UGH. I’m not liking this rn. It’s VERY juvenile. Like I’d believe this was like middle YA. And it’s so trope heavy rn. The big bad scary prince, the couldn’t care less heroine, the magic school where you could die, the sassy banter etc.

The dialogue is stiff. And there an ellipses or a dash EVERY PAGE.

I don’t think I like this?

I had such high hopes for this. But so far it’s full of a bunch of characters I cannot discern between other than Jason Bourne.

Not to mention there’s no urgency, flat dialogue, and repetition of items that makes this nothing like what I was expecting.

Knowing Blake was in a sorority makes this funnier
