Started on plane and can't decide what to think. Very much like Gone Girl. Hope I still am as intrigued at the end.

Charles Lindbergh the person is a callous, anti-Semitic, awful man.

Only reading this because I have students who like Pretty Little Liars and this is her more grown up book. It's a Big Mac for the brain.

Love this. I have a hard time of thinking of Fitzgerald as a person. I see him as this talented genius. He was a real human with a sick wife, a severe alcohol problem and financial ruin. It's so weird to hear him referred to as 'Scott'. Love love love this book.

I have not read a book in two months. I needed to get back into reading. I go through periods where I don't feel interested in reading. This book is interesting. I like the story. It's not what I expected. And, a nice break from the classics.

Getting a bit better. Maybe I like direct narratives with clear cut characters.

I'm low on time, so I'm going to pack this up and send it to my mom. She will finish it and tell me how it went.

I want to poke my eyes out. It has boring flat characters who could be 27 or 15. Maybe all of my classic reading is redefining my definition of literature.

If this was recoded as YAL, I would not be surprised. I loved the story until all of the "high-tech" stuff came into play. So bored with it and its fantastical adventure of technology. Is there a message about books and technology? And is it written above a sixth grade level?

I like the premise of this book, but I tend to dislike the characters. They are a bit pretentious with their life experiences and books that are classic. It's far from a traditional book club in what is chosen and what is discussed. I will continue to read for interest, but not for like of the people involved so far.
