I would have already finished this but PRH has an end-date on their digital ARCs which is RIDICULOUS. Makes me so mad I almost don't want to finish but who would that hurt?

I know this is me overreacting as I am wont to do but when I got to “Millie dislikes, in a Pavlovian way, goodie-goodies, busybodies, LIBRARIANS (emphasis mine), elementary schoolteachers of a certain age, social workers and nuns” I realized I had something better to do than read the rest of this book. Wash my hair, maybe, or do the dishes.

I like it more than expected so far but why does the Jewish guy have to be cheap?

I'm on page 6 and while the story seems compelling (as compelling as six pages can be) the font makes me want to throw the galley across the room. I can barely read it. Epic fail Pegasus Books!

Seeet Jesus - this must be this season's Goldfinch: the super-wordy book that everyone loves but me. I don't even like Joan Ashby, I definitely don't want to have to read her short stories! Right now I'm hate-reading, hoping for redemption.

But, hate is better than indifference. At least I'm still reading.
