Good so far, but a bit of an easier read than her previous work. I think kuang has kind of lost her dazzle to me…
Pros:
I really like the way kuang writes about magic as if it’s something to learn, not necessarily something innate.
Cons:
She’s telling us everything, not writing in a way that makes us think or infer at all to make the world more real
