Got through Finland before I ran out of time.

Another beautiful cookbook from Phaidon but I wasn’t motivated to cook anything in it.

Trying to make this one last. I love the illustrations, photos, and the text.

Too depressing - abandoned ship.

Started on this while it was cold and rainy and I was sick - big mistake! Author is way more depressing than I remembered.

No news. I already know about and have lived among these people. The library copy was filthy with food crumbs and god-knows-what stains, plus underlines and dumb comments in red ink. It was extremely bad timing that I read this on the eve of Trump's inauguration - now I gotta work even harder at loving my fellow man.

I can hardly bear the precious inner dialogues, or whatever they are. Delight in this book must be an English-major thing. Stuck with just a few pages left. I hope they are funny bits.
