Events like “Copyright awareness week” in schools is really more about corporations intimidating individuals than ethics

I realize this book does not make any sense at all going on my bookshelves but I am a soccer coach and someone recommended this so I’m doing it. It’s soooooo gendered but I still 100% like his underlying point that coaches should not be yelling during games

Trying to decide if I should finish this. I was curious to read Beverly Jenkins because I hear she is like the mother of the African American romance genre. I love how gutsy and badass the women in this story are. And it's actually quite educational historically about New Orleans post civil war. But it's a little too romanc-y/cheesy for my style...

I haven’t ready crime novels in a very long time, so this is new. But I’m very annoyed at the manipulation tactics of the FBI agent in the hospital, and how he’s acting like Jacoby is sill alive when he isn’t, so that he can get Pete to talk. Such BS

I’m insecure enough about people judging my book choices that I have to point out this was written by Stacey Abrams (under a pen name)
