Found this an interesting read.

This has turned out to be an interesting plot and storyline. The parallel story telling with current life of Molly (a 17 year old foster teenager) and the 1920's storyline of Niamh Power are weaved together well and will keep you turning the next page. This is a book worth reading.

Jean Plaidy does not disappoint she is bringing these historical charactrs to life for me.

Then the air was full of wings, the doves came down out of the sunny blue like angels in a painting... (Susan (main female character) has such an artist's eye and she can paint such vivid pictures with her words).

Ninny was having her coffe, she had a thought. "Stump, do you reckon you could come oer to my house and shoot your un at these old blackbirds that are sitting on my telephone wires? I don't want you to hurt them, I just want you to scare them off...I think they're up there listening to my telephone calls, through their feet." (She is quite a funny character).

I'm a big King Arthur fan and his Knights of the Round table but for me this book didn't have any energy and interest for me. The writing style for me fell flat most of the time there were some parts that were more interesting but on the whole I was disappointed. I am going to try 2nd book in hopes I like that better.

Chapter Thiryty-Two

Storyline starts out fast & exciting and I like the background that they live in a space ship.

Fantastic read. This is phenomenal read I so enjoy that you get to learn about the main characters and their children and their associates. Very multi-layered storyline. I can't believe I've never read any of Penny Vincenzi books before.

Evil is unspectacular and always human, and shares our bed and eats at our own table.

I felt like the writer Kristin Hannah captured the daily life of a military family. How hard it is for a mother to have to leave her children and home to serve her country.

He understood suddenly what Cornflower had meant. She's a mother. Her instinct is to protect.
