This may be the most intense book I've ever read. Fantastic writing and gut wrenching. Highly recommend if you can handle all the triggers, human sex trafficking, rape, abuse, children in danger, kidnapping, assault, hostage situations, foul use of language and derogatory slang. Thank goodness no animals have been hurt so far.

These books are pure trash, stereotypes, cliches, stupid characters, soap opera conflicts. BUT from time to time these little popcorn ya's really hit the spot after reading more intense and well done literature.

Just want to put it out there that I wrote down all the underlined words in the footnotes to see if there's a hidden message or reveal. It was just a bunch of random words, but may jumble into something? Curious if anyone else digs into that.

The first 50 pages were sooo good!

Rereading for the TV show! I'm enjoying this for the second time, love the weird mystery vibes and knowing the outcome, its been a different reading experience than the first time.

This is my oldest book of the month TBR book, finally getting around to reading it.

I'm feeling very unsettled by this one. Wondering what is really going on, this would also make a great movie even play given how character driven it is

This is a fairy tale that every adult should read. The writing is so whimsical and wonderful, you'll feed like a kid again.

Yep that prologue chapter was as unsettling as people say it is. I've never liked birds, this made that feeling even stronger.

Gosh it's been 10 years since I last read this book and it still has my whole heart ❤️❤️ my favorite romance. I still relate to Emma and have never met a character in literature that thinks so similarly to myself.
