This needs to get interesting because I really dislike the writing. Reads like a middle grade novel.

Has to go back to the library. Interesting but I barely made a dent so I’m putting it on hold until I check it out again.

Book is definitely starting to drag

I’m pretty sure I know what I’m getting into because AH seems to only write 1 type of story, containing all of the same elements. And yet, I guess I like it because the other romance I read recently was meh at best. Formulaic, but AH has my number.

I can’t be bothered to care about a single character in this book. At 3/4 complete, that’s not particularly compelling.

Started audiobook. Again with Marisa Calin (narrating for Lottie/Charlotte). Ugh.

Really dislike the writing. Excessive and juvenile. Audiobook narration is whiny. Putting this on hold.

It may be a mistake picking this serious historical fiction up after finishing some rompy steamy stuff.

Enjoying this but the set up is awkward and unbelievable.

Only 10% in but the story feels forced and sappy and precious. Not really the endearing heart warmer that it was made out to be. Continue? Or not for me? 🤔

I’m incredibly bored and I find the writing style to be irritating. If I finish… I’m waffling between 2 because it feels like she wants to hit me over the head with her message or 3 because I had decent expectations.
