This book is sneaking up on me...

This really makes me want to take a class in hermeneutics. Loving everything about it!

Chattel slavery is America's never again. This is an essential read. Jasmine Holmes is a master of curating the primary source material into a holistic fictionalized account. Outstanding.

Reading it so fast because it is so good. Truly can't put it down.

Can anyone give me a compelling reason to keep reading this because I really want to abandon it...

If you are doubting the kindness of God, this book is for you. If you think you understand the kindness of God, then prepare to be overcome as you're exposed to that doctrine in a whole new way. Only 3 chapters in and I already know this is a top 5 book of all time for me.

This book is exceptional.

It's that time of year again!

Neil Gaiman's story got me. Off to read something a little more cheery before I keep going 😂

I've already seen the movie even though I haven't read this yet, but nothing feels spoiled. I will say I'm not sure Orson Scott Card understands kids completely. The actors in the movie felt too old for the dialogue and the characters in the book feel too young for some of the complex thinking. A brilliant and gifted six-year-old still, maturity wise, is only six. I think a better age would have been 8 almost 9.
