I gave up on it.

I gave up on it.

Unnerving.

10 laws in. Having to absorb in small doses. Otherwise too much poison builds up in the system. Having to cut it with entire Lencioni books to keep from being ill. Recognizing traits and tactics from former bosses and Co workers, some of whom must have read this book, others who fell into Greene’s “unconscious” description well.

Just reading the chapter titles is enough to see that this NOT a book about leadership. It’s a book about Power. Those are not the same. I’m reading this for the same reason I read The Prince - not so I can apply the teachings, but so I can see when they’re being applied around me. The Enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy. It pays to know his methods so you can counter them.

I didn't realize it had been more than five years since I read this the first time - I've had so much fun over the last month re-reading Abercrombie, and I enjoyed this one a ton the first time around. Looking forward to diving back into it again.

Powerful stuff so far. Hard to put it down.

Man this is denser than I expected. I have to take my time with it!
