This audio is making me feel all the things, but I am so stressed about how it’s going to end.

Despite the body horror making me squirm, I can’t put it down.

It’s almost painful how spot-on the sibling dynamics are playing out. I do mean that in the best way. Loving this so far!

I'm loving the dark and vivid fairy tale atmosphere vibe.

1. The audio for this book is AMAZING.
2. These teens = squad goals.

“I wonder what the men in my family could do if the women didn't treat them simultaneously like kings and children.”

Listening to this one at work, and I keep switching between laughing out loud and having all the feels.

Yep. Yep. Yep.

Everything about this book is a win.

I'm almost 30, and this book creeps me out so, so much.

All I want to do is stay home and read this book.

The concept of this is interesting, but I really want it to kick the horror up a notch...

Missing flyers. A creepy town. I'm already invested.

I know I probably shouldn't be as delighted by the dark humor and wit in this book, but it's just too good.

“Most books on witchcraft will tell you that witches work naked. This is because most books on witchcraft are written by men.”

AND


“It has been said that civilization is twenty-four hours and two meals away from barbarism.”

The struggle to balance reading and writing is a constant walk on the tightrope. It's so easy to get lost in books and lose track of time. Any writer friends ever feel that way?

"So it wasn't me who broke him. He was already broken."

This is one of the greatest love stories I've ever, ever read. Am I talking about Ove and the cat...? Maybe... ;)

"She loved books more than anything, and started telling him excitedly what each of the ones in her lap was about. And Ove realized that he wanted to hear her talking about the things she loved for the rest of his life."

I'm melting with emotion.

"He was a man of black and white. And she was color. All the color he had."

Well, this book is obviously going to destroy me emotionally.

"Were you beautiful or were you odd?"


This just came in! Naturally, I started the audio immediately. Loving the way certain lines seem to linger with me.

"My road to hell isn't paved with good intentions. It's just my road."

I swear this book was written to be quoted over and over again.

I've officially met Baz. He melts my cold, icy heart <3.

Question: Is it unhealthy to be mildly obsessed with Baz, even though he hasn't actually made an appearance yet? Asking for a friend...

Okay - Is anyone else in awe of Delia Owens? Crawdads is her first novel...meanwhile, the rest of us are trying to string a sentence together.

Examples below:

LOVING the snarky characters in this one!

"I didn't know you could get buried in your own silence"

Reading Sawkill Girls and now I can't get Sandra Bullock out of my head!

"Sisters two and sisters true" I LOVE the mention of Practical Magic. It's one of my favorites!

This is my second go at this book. I couldn't get into it at first. Mostly I saw Benedict Cumberbatch anytime Jackaby spoke. :)

What a way to start off a book! I hope the story continues in this fashion.
