This is the first book that I've sat down and read in a single sitting in a long time (not counting audiobooks). So good.

This family dinner scene with Mad, Dylan, Jyoti and Scarlet and them talking about Cruz, Ace and Rachel makes me really want to revisit the Beyond series. I'm so glad we still get to see some of these characters in Gideon's Riders.

This series makes me think of BDB. Same narrator, "shitkickers" and "True that." LOL. That is where the similarities stop, if I remember correctly. I probably wouldn't be thinking it as much if it wasn't for the fact that Jim Frangione is the narrator for both.

I see what everyone means with that cliffhanger ending.

Wow! The ending of this story blew me away. Now I'm chomping at the bit for book two. Luckily, I don't have to wait too long.

The problem with listening to a book that is almost 45 hours long. The climax is starting and I still have 11 hours of listening left to go. I need to sleep tonight> I have to work tomorrow.

"I don't know which is worse," Jace suddenly said her voice soft as watch Pastor Bruce's car speed away. "The ones who don't believe that their saying and steal from you or the ones who do believe and still steal from you."
"Wow," Analisa said, "That is some deep shit."

I'm not sure what I think about this book. It is interesting and completely different from any I've ever read. I don't even know what genre to put it in.

Here’s a tip for you: If you’re ever in a position to be making calls on right and wrong that can impact an entire nation, run your decisions past a six-year-old. If they look at you in horror and tell you you’re getting coal in your stocking for the rest of your life, you should probably reconsider your course of action. Unless you want to be remembered as a monster, in which case, knock yourself out.

I really don't understand why authors make their characters have sex right after they almost die in a fight. I would think it would be too painful for sex.

This was so good. I had forgotten it was book three in a trilogy, but that didn't stop me from really enjoying it. Full review to come later.

I had no recollection of that conversation. Also, a little extra land meant another acre, not a forest five times the one Pooh Bear lived in.

I'm done with this series. I get that poly relationships are more complicated than those of us that are in monogamous relationships. I don't want to read a book about nothing but trying to sort through those fine lines between each of the different pairings, etc. It started off so good with some great police work, but then nothing but relationship issues for more than an hour. NOPE. I'm done.

I've been up in the air about even starting this book. The explanations about poly relationships and therapy speak make me feel like I'm in couples therapy when I listen to this series lately. So far, it hasn't been horrible, but every time we start to go down this rabbit hole, it degrades from the rest of the story. Weren't we supposed to be figuring out the zombie sex slave case?

I don't feel even the slightest bit sorry for Denise. Denise was an adult and Charley was a child. Denise had no right to treat her that way.

"Drat sushi. Back home in the North Carolina mountains, raw fish was called bait. I tried to learn to like sushi, but I always came away with the feeling that it would taste a lot better breaded and deep fried. Sushi sure was pretty though."

I was very disappointed, not for the same reason as many people. I just didn't find this book that interesting. I'll have more to come later.

I'm not feeling it right now. With all the drama and spoilers going around right now, I just can't get into this story. I'm going to set it aside for a little bit. I'm more in the mood for humor anyway, which could be part of the problem.

I already want the next book, please. :-)

I think each book is darker than the previous.

Very cute. Caribou shifter gets talked into play Rudolph in the Christmas parade to make one little girl happy. Full review will come.

I'm not normally a fan of YA, but I'll admit that I really enjoyed this story and want to dive right in to book two.

I love that Marguerite Gavin is reading this. Kirsten Potter wasn't bad, but Gavin is one of my favorites.
