A life is made better by better thoughts. That is so true. I am glad that I read this book because it is giving me inspiration for a sermon.

Before Reading: Wanted to reread a series where I can get into. I haven’t read this series in a while and I have a lot of books to catch up on, so I wanted to reread the full series of 24 books so far. I love this series, so I am happy to restart the series and revisit the characters again after a long time.

Before Reading: Interested to see how this book turns out. Heard a lot of good things about it and I am excited that I finally got a copy that I can read. Here we go!

Ending Thoughts: Beautiful story. The ending was perfect. I am glad it showed Tate’s struggles with losing control and what she brought out of him as character. The epilogue could have been longer, but it was beautiful. I give it a 4.5/5.

End of Chapter 72: Charlie is really bold! I hope she gets her HEA with Tate. I think they both deserve happiness and love. I am loving the read so far. I would give it a 4/5 right now. The last quarter will be the deciding factor now!

Chapters 8-14: We get more of their fake relationship moments—family dinners, small-town events—and I do enjoy the coziness. But it’s also a bit predictable, and the emotional depth just isn’t quite landing. The chemistry is okay, but I keep wishing for sharper tension or more character development. I think it is about a 3 star rating for me still.

End of Chapter 51: I am glad that Charlie has Kellan’s manuscript. Also, I found this chapter emotional because we got to see glimpse of Kellan’s writing and their story. I am loving this book. Can’t wait to see more moments with Tate and Charlie!!

End of Chapter 26: I am loving the book right now. I really like Tate and Charlie. I hope that they become a couple soon. I think they have amazing chemistry together.

She struggles with guilt over past events while trying to help and connect with Sarima’s family. Tensions rise when Liir is found in danger, and Elphaba’s actions have unexpected consequences.

End of Galinda: Finally meeting Galinda at Shiz! She’s shallow, dramatic, and so wrapped up in appearances—yet Maguire writes her with a kind of sharp humor that makes her fun to read. Her clash with Elphaba is both hilarious and tense. The ‘odd couple’ roommate situation feels like the start of something bigger—can already sense how this unlikely pairing will shape both their lives.

September 27 Update:
Before Reading/Listening: Excited to dive into Gregory Maguire’s Wicked! I’ve loved the musical for years, but I know the book is much darker and more political. Can’t wait to see Elphaba’s backstory unfold.

Chapters 1-7: The setup is cute: the fake dating arrangement is established, and we’re getting a feel for the dynamic between the leads. There’s some decent banter, but the pacing feels a little slow, and I haven’t fully connected with either character yet. Still, I’m curious to see how this partnership plays out.

Before Reading: Wondering how The Partner Plot would turn out! The premise sounds fun, but I’m going in with tempered expectations. Hoping for some swoony moments and good banter. Let’s see how it goes!

Before Restarting this Book: Life got in the way and like always I couldn’t start the book properly and finish it. So it is my mission to finish this series this year! I can’t wait to see what the book has in store for me.

Before Reading: I like Parker S. Huntington books and her writing style, so I interested to see how this story turns out. I am excited to jump into this book. Let’s get started!!

End of Chapter 13: I think the idea of a memory bank is intriguing. I wonder how they use this technology within the community.

End of Chapter 5: I think Prenna is an interesting character. I do find the community she lives in a bit sketchy. Why all the secrecy? It is all very eerie to me. I think this is an okay read so far. Next quarter, here I come!

Before Reading: I have heard this is a very important story to read. Also, I am feeling nervous going into this one as I am not sure what to expect. I am reading to listen to how the narrative will be like while I listen to it. I’m ready for it!!

Ending Thoughts: Just finished Step on a Crack! What a thrilling ride. The balance of high-stakes crime and heartfelt family moments really worked for me. I’m definitely continuing with book two. Fast-paced, emotional, and suspenseful. A great intro to a compelling new detective.

More secrets are coming to light. The mystery behind the hostage takers is starting to unravel, but I still have questions.

The kidnappers are ruthless, and the media frenzy is wild. I like Michael Bennett and I think his family dynamics make his character more relatable. Can’t wait to see how it all unravels. Really loving the short chapters.
