The second installment is not disappointing at all. Some trilogies suffer in the middle act, trying to strike the right balance between keeping the reader engaged from the first book while not wanting to give up the goods before book three has a chance to, but so far, Kuang keeps the readers taut in her grip. Excited to see what is ahead for this cast of characters.
