What a crazy story! I'm loving it so far but only 30% in. No idea where it's headed, but eager to find out!

DNF. This book didn't engage me on any level. The cover, however, is delightful!

Very dark. But compulsively readable. Some scenes are deeply disturbing. Interesting 'voice'. Interested to see if Arden has a point to make in the end.

Half way and loving it! Such a heartwarming story.

I've heard that if you eat to prevent cancer, you will also be preventing heart disease, type II diabetes, auto-immune disorders, and a host of other diseases. This book looks at diet on a molecular level. It's beautifully presented and the writing is not too technical. A no nonsense approach to health, based on science and on the history of how peoples of the world ate before the western, industrialized diet.

I just got this book yesterday from Chapters for $8! It's a gorgeous hardcover and I can't wait to start reading it. Happy New Year to me...it'll be my first book in 2021. Joanne Harris always delivers a wonderful, magic touched story and that's what I'll need when the January blahs set in.
