Some books you just wish would never end. Some you can't wait to finish in order to discover what happened. I devour those books. That is not a new experience for me.
This, however, this uncomfortable, irritating juxtaposition of wanting the book to get better and rushing to finish just to be done is completely new to me. I am not a fan of the book or the feeling. It's disappointing.

I am powering through because I don't leave books unfinished.

I started reading this because I wanted the dust jacket to subtly send a message while I read it at work...

I am really struggling to get through this one. The first half was good. There was a purpose for the characters. This half is dragging me through the swamps of sadness. I do not care about Fantastica and Bastian at all.
