Mari
Mari is starting Skippy Dies
I listened to this on audiobook. I enjoyed the characters and their stories, it was just longer than necessary. At least it had an ending unlike BeeSting.

Mari is starting Moonrise Over New Jessup
I listened to this on audiobook. I really liked the story & the characters but the ending was very blah. Like it just ended. Didn’t close anything, no big thing happened. Just over.

Mari is starting Funny Story
I listened to this on audiobook. It was a cute fun listen. The characters were likable. If this was a movie, I’d use it as a comfort romcom multi-watch.

Mari
Mari is starting Bright Young Women
I listened to those on a road trip, it really helped the drive go fast. I kept wondering if I’d missed this being a true story which you know is a sign of good writing. I loved how they used the bad guys actual name, it really helped add to the character.

Mari
Mari is starting Paris: The Memoir
I listened to this on audiobook which is the way to go as she reads it herself & you can better understand her ADHD & baby voice this way. I knew she had created a character to be her brand but learning more about Paris Hilton was actually really interested. She survived a lot of trauma & is thriving now while still works towards the life she dreamed of. She’s a marketing genius & the book is really good.

Mari
Mari is starting Wellness
This book was difficult to get into yet someone I finished it going “that was lovely”. It was just about 2 people & their lives & how they can affect their love.

Mari
Mari is starting In My Dreams I Hold a Knife
I listened to this on audiobook. Pretty much everyone in the entire book was unlikeable. No one really had redeeming characteristics. It was ok kept my interest but didn’t excite me to listen more. The best part was the name of the book which never really fits the story anyway.

Mari is starting Just for the Summer (Part of Your World, #3)
This was a cute romcom. I genuinely liked most of the characters (the ones you’re supposed to anyway). I was invested in their lives.

Mari is starting China Rich Girlfriend (Crazy Rich Asians, #2)
Such a fun easy cute read. The big climax mystery of the book was a little much but really the entire book is meant to be over the top.

Mari is starting One of Us Is Lying (One of Us is Lying, #1)
I listened to this on audiobook. I enjoyed it for the most part. Some parts seemed really unlikely, but it was an interesting concept. The characters were like able enough.

I really enjoyed this series. It was a fun take on classic fairy tales and I liked each character. Fun reads and would recommend for those who like this genre.

I'm really enjoying this series. I am however happy she's already written the books because each one leaves off at very heavy spots.

Mari is reading Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2)
I enjoyed this second book more than the first. It seemed to end in a more structured way than the first. I enjoy all the characters a great deal. Quick pace. Looking forward to book 3.

Mari
Mari is reading Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1)
I figured out the big twist immediately. It was very obvious. The ending was extremely abrupt. I was shocked she considered it an ending. I understand it's a series and always planned to be, but you still need to end each book. Not just stop writing and call it the end. All that being said, I loved the story line, the idea and the characters. Cinder, Kai and all their friends and family are very interesting. book 2!

Mari is reading Still Missing
I flew through this book. It was so hard to put down. It's been a bit since I read a thriller and this was good. I didn't even realize there was a mystery to solve for most of the book so I didn't spend the whole thing trying to solve it. Just reading and enjoying. I really liked her writing style. Going to have to check out her other books.

Mari is reading Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices, #1)
Another fantastic installment of the shadow hunter world. I very much liked this book and cannot wait to see what future books have in store for the Blackthorns and Emma. I also loved that we got little cameos of the other characters from previous shadow hunter series. Please hurry with the next installment.

Mari is reading The Girl on the Train
While I figured out the ending sooner than I would have liked, I still really enjoyed this book. It's a good thriller that has you wanting to find out what happens and not wanting to stop reading.

Mari
Mari is reading The Murdered Family: Mystery of the Wolf Family Murders
I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting in many ways. The first was because the area the murders were committed at is a place I know and the prairie farmers are like my relatives. I also enjoyed seeing how vastly different crimes were investigated in 1920. The only issue I had was the end of the book. I felt cheated and lied to after the author stated he'd made up the last two chapters. it wasn't needed.

This was my 4th time reading the book. Just finally finished the tv series so I thought I'd read the books again. I do enjoy the light read of a Sookie Stackhouse book

Mari is reading The Eight (The Eight, #1)
I had trouble with the switching of story lines. By the time I would get into one time period, it would switch to another. I also had a lot of trouble keeping the characters straight, there was so many of them, all with unusual names. I often forgot who was who when switching story lines. I also got l got lost occasionally with all the math and formula talk. However, it was an interesting book.
