It’s not the light of dawn that tells me it’s my time to sing.
It’s the darkness right before.

Because light can break through only when the dark has been pierced.

I sing not in spite of the dark.

I sing because of it.

People tend to choose the less painful path over the right one.

The best defense against propaganda is CRITICAL THINKING.

When we stop thinking, and questioning, we contribute to the lie.

I was not ready to die — because the way I looked at it — I had not yet begun to live!

I used to wonder what sorts of things lurk in the deep places.

Now I know. And I’m not sure I liked what I found.

The darkness can feel so strong it cuts out any light. But I know that the darkness isn’t all that’s there.

There’s always a light…and that light, even if it’s scary, can lead us home…if we trust it.

It's easier, sometimes, to be brave when you're being brave for someone else.
