Huhu I just want to read something where the heroine is sensible

Before this I just came from reading The Little Library on Cherry Lane and I was frustrated with the main female character there...and now 44 pages in this book, I experience my first bout of annoyance to Eliza and her sisters. Why are they insulting Hamilton for delivering the message that their father is going to be court-martialed? Is he the instigator of that? No. He was only the messenger. Urgh!

I'm waiting for Vivi's character development...she's kinda annoying

I wonder if Quoyle will have some character development

to be honest, I don't have any background in dueling matters during that time but Daniel and Hugh dueling over cards is plain stupid and the work of alcohol in their brains.

Daniel was also wrongly found at fault by Hugh's father and was threatened to be killed even if his son lived. In the first place, it was Hugh who asked for the duel to happen.
