It took me a while to get the hype about this book, but now I do. It is so significant, so impactful, so well written. It is very reminiscent of Killing a Mockingbird.

It’s waaaay too bad. Everything is so superficial and childish! There is no plot, just a bunch of wierd events happening. The tension is described as high, but doesn’t feel so.

Disappointed so far. I hate the female protagonist, and I’m not connecting with any other characters either

Let me go back to a week ago when my heart did not ache for fantasy characters. I loved them so so deeply that I wish I could hug them. They are so artfully created, so easily believable, so effortlessly lovable! It is a stark difference from the last few books I read where characters wanted me to forcefully love them while I could not see them as humans, but rather as attributes that you simply could not hate.

Pleaaaaase don’t kill Kelsier. I don’t think I can handle it.

It’s really frustrating in the second half

I adore the writing style. The story itself reminds me of “all of us are liers” mixed with “ a secret history”. It is the sort of book that makes you love a person who doesn’t have particularly attractive qualities.

I have never hated and loved a character like HH. So many moments I cringed away from the book, but I could never let it down.

Such a sweet feeling. Kinda reminded me of All The Bright Places, with the dialogues, smartass replies, and the deep feelings that remind me of my own vortex

Went great for 70%, but got frustratingly heavy on the last pages. A satisfiying dose of nihilism i would say.

Sooo similare to The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundra

Went slowly at times, boring me with descriptions of nature and all that. It has just started to get more exciting. It shouts out "sad ending" but it's still a good read.

So worth the sleepless night. The characters are so well built that I see them vividly. The narratore is Patreclus, who is easy to relate to, and makes the reader fall in love with Achilles
