In The Eternal City by Paula Morris, Laura is on a school trip in Europe. The last leg of their trip is Rome. At Rome Laura sees many strange things like moving statues and birds that are following her. Finally a mysterious man tells her that everything will be alright, Laura believes that is Mercury. Laura later learns that it his her bracelet which is causing the gods to fight.

My favorite book I read this year was the Six by Mark Alpert. I loved how I never knew what was going to happen. The book kept me on my feet. The characters were all very different, but just as interesting. My favorite part was when the AI takes over Chris´s robot, but he manages to escape by some miracle. Another one of my favorite parts is when the six go flying in high tech RC planes by transferring their brains.

Eragon compared to the book The Six are very similar. In Eragon, Eragon must learn what is right from what is wrong and Christopher in The Six must learn how to become a leader and what he must do. They both go through hard times and have many problems. Eragon's problems are that he does not know who his father and mother are, and Chris's problems is that he has muscular dystrophy and cannot move much of his body.

In The Six by Mark Alpert the main character who has muscular dystrophy is offered a solution to a disease which would kill him in a few months. This solution is to have his mind transferred into a robot. The only condition is that the Six people chosen must fight a Artificial Intelligence who escaped from a secure lab.In the end they nearly kill the AI but it manages to escape.

1. Christopher started out as a kid, acting like one, looking like one, and sounding like one. Once the bombs fall he turns into a leader. It takes some time but eventually he becomes the fearless leaders of the Minrs and the Grinders. To become a true leader he faced death, betrayal, and victory.

I am reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini becuase I remember loving this series and i have forgotten what happened so I decided to read it agin. This shows I have improved becuase this book is extremely long around 600 pages.

Setting. This book takes place In a universe far into the future. The people are different, the governments, and everything else. There are aliens living with humans. Earth is no longer the home planet of humans. It seems that the government is a monarchy, they have a king and everyone in a powerful position is related to him. This futuristic universe has starships that can fly extremely fast and other things.

Captain Drake is being taken to work in the mines for 2 years for doing something he did not do. He knew it was going to be a rough 2 years if he survived, what he did not know that was his entire crew was spit up and the remaining crew committed mutiny and rescued him. While looking for his pilot he finds out that the ship they destroyed has the cure to sugar disease. Drake goes about finding it but has no luck.

One character in the book is Jason Burke. He is a smart man with great leading capabilities. He used to be a lonely man on earth, but a series of events that brought him to alien planets brought out the real Jason Burke, someone with confidence and loyalty to his crew mates and friends. Jason Burke is now a trusted captain of a very powerful ship, they go around the galaxy saving people and planets..

I think the authors audience is anyone who enjoys adventure and science fiction books. This book is great for those people because , unlike other books, this one starts present day and then moves along into the future creating a whole new world. I really loved this book because it implements the ideas of new technology and even though it doesnt exist , they make it seem so real.

If I could interview the main character I would ask him what it feels like to be the only human to ever have meant alien life. He might reply by saying about how scary it was at first and after a bit he fit right in. I would also ask him what stops him from going back to earth with his ship and showing it off. He would most likely reply that he is loyal to Omega Force and his crew and would never ditch them.

In this book Legion Varus and Legion Solstice go on a joined mission to the cephalopod worlds to take over their planets. During the mission the Raptor species comes and tries to destroy the humans becuase they want the profitable titanium mines. In the end McGill figures out Claver was behind this entire operation. McGill also gets promoted to Veteran from Specialist.

This author wrote the book partially to explain her own life experiences. What I think the message is that greed and power can overcome anything. This novel has a lot of people who hold too much power and end up overuseing it. The author is showing the consequences while also having the young versions of people discover what happens when they got too much power.

What draws me into this books is how I never know what's coming next and how exciting the book is. I cannot put the book down becuase of how it uses realistic things and use it to make it more futuristic yet believable. Whenever the author introduces something futuristic and unreal she describes "how it's made" and " how it works", although I have no idea what she's saying, it makes it more interesting

I like to see myself connecting to the main character Cody Riggs because he is a smart young man who helps everyone survive. He is like me because he wanted to go on an adventure and be more than a nobody. I keep reading these books becuase they are full of cliff-hangers. Thie author also never fails to make something interesting. I love how points made in the first book are related and changed all the way through.

A theme that is present is trust. Throughout the series Kyle Riggs has been a target for assassination and he must know who he can trust. The author is saying that trust is an important part in someone, many people who don't trust Kyle are making bad choices and end up dying. In this book, he former Second in command betrays him and nearly dies doing so. This theme is present in many action movies.

At the end of the book Star Force successfully elemanated all Macros from the system and have built a genormous battle station to protect all of their worlds.

So far in the book Star Force has managed to capture the Eden system and are trying to free the centaurs of the macros. They must adapt weapon for the centaurs and go down to planet hel and capture the macros factories. So for they have captured one and are using it to create more weapons and better vehicles.

The main conflict in this book is that Star Force must destroy another living creatures planet along with everyone on it. This is a Man vs. Man conflict because their are 2 races fighting each other for survival. The beginning is when the Macros come and pick up the invasion troops promised by earth. They send them to a unknown planet and make then fight for their lives, if they live, they are taken to another planet

At the beginning of this book, aliens invaded Earth. They used ships that would take people into it and then kill them if they didn't make it it through certain obstacles. The people who did make it could then control the ship. After a few days more aliens called the Micros invaded. They used huge alien robots that were nearly impenetrable. The armies of the world couldn't beat them until they found out lasers.

If I could jump into any character I would want to jump into Jason so I could see how its like living on and commanding a space ship. It would be cool to see a real space ship and fight alien i posters. I would love to jump into the scene where he is fighting against the pirates so I could see what a real intergalactic fight is like.
