Last book of the year!

Just started this and it's already the best book I've read so far this year.

This made me cry this morning. I've got some nightmares to follow.

"too many grown-ups tell kids to follow
their dreams
like that's going to get them somewhere
Aunt Laurie says follow your nightmares instead
cuz when you figure out what's eating you alive
you can slay it"

I'm reading this to classes from first through fifth graders in the last 3 weeks. I've read it so many times to kids up to eighth grade. One of my favorite read-alouds. I found a place where it's online to read for free too. Funny, sweet with a built in word game. Find a kid to read it to.

I'm so glad to have my hands on a copy of this book. I've been waiting.

Get on a hold list for this book. Unfortunately, those who should read it won't. Too bad. It could change cold hearts.
