I was about to give up on this boat, but just read a bunch of great reviews and decided to give in another chance. So far finding it boring and a bit confusing with the “camera lens” and “news reels”. I haven’t found any of the characters particularly likeable. Why so many good reviews? We will see if it gets any better.

I’ve tried this book a few times, first reading it, then audiobook, then audiobook again bc it took me so long to get through it that I had to return it. Sometimes when I find a book hard to follow, I find the audiobook to be better. This is not the case. I don’t know what’s going on half the time. Long, meandering, depressing descriptions. I’m giving up.

I wanted to take this book slow and savor it, since the next book isn’t out yet, but it is just too good to put down.

I’m not really into this book yet. I’m a little surprised with all the hype and how I love 70s rock bands. But all the characters are kinda running together and I’m not loving the interview format. Hopefully that changes soon.
