The characters are a delightful array of early 20th century aristocrats, plutocrats, and the folk who serve them.

Definitely a TA novel, not really connecting with it.

Niven really became a better writer between this work (1966) and Protector (1967 or 1970). There's more of 1960's cultural attitude in World of Ptavvs, but it remains a really good story and it lives up to my fond memories of it well.

So far, a very pleasant science-romance sort of book.

A quick read thus far. Connolly does an excellent job of painting the protagonist’s plight in the early part of the book, leaving the reader with no doubt of his mental state.

Still quite good, as the end of the Game draws nearer... I’ve read to the 24th and it is only the 22nd today, so I am running slightly ahead.

Just got myself caught up to the proper page. I’ve really been enjoying the story so far, the style is so very charmingly Zelazny.

Cycle of Air still gets me. Nobody gets what they want, everyone loses something.

I read the first four cycles of the story years ago, and thus far they prove to be even better on second reading.
