I’m listening to the audiobook and I feel like the main character isn’t supposed to be that old, but the narrators voice keeps making me think she’s 50+

So far, the author wrote that the FMC lived in the south Bronx almost every single time she mentioned her apartment.

“My apartment…in the south Bronx”. “It’s not a great place to live at…the south Bronx”. “Came all this way…to the south Bronx”

Tis getting interesting

Every chapter has a cliffhanger, followed by the next chapter by another character. It’s not even good cliffhangers. It’s unnecessary.
