By chapter 17—by which point they finally f*cked—my initial feeling that these characters are very shallow grew stronger. I’m more certain now that IF I’m going to like this book by the end, it’ll only be because of the quality of smut (which I’m not convinced of yet).
Side note: Matt's first-ever sexual experience is hardcore bdsm f*cking??? And he loves it?? Wtf.

I’m making slower progress with it than I’d thought I would, but I swear it’s very interesting. As I’m nearing the last bit of the book though I’m starting to think there’s not going to be a lot of romance in it (for which I’d started reading it). Or just very bad pacing. We’ll see. I’m hoping for the best because it would be a crime to ruin this book tbh.

I’m in a constant push&pull with this book. One minute I think I’ve read so much (because so much has happened already!) that I must be at least halfway through already; the next minute I think I’m still at the very beginning and it’s all just a way too long, way too detailed demonstration of foreplay until we get to the part with the actual main action. I don’t get this book. I can’t wait to read more and I’m bored.
