Seriously only finishing this because I am so far in I don't want to remove it from my reading challenge... After 3 hours of NONSENSE they actually say the true things and get smart... ONLY to have another drama fest over nonsense with only an hour to go. I even recommended this book, when I was in the first 6 hours of it, saying it was a SMART romance. NOT!

Enjoyed it a lot until we got to the Fairy Tale land. Now it's like get on with it. How many hours can we listen to walking down a road without anything new happening?

Literally 8 hours into the 11 hour book, loved it up till the last hour but am ready to quit. Is there something in romance writing 101 that says characters must be extremely STUPID to be in a romance book? They can ask about EVERYTHING except the truth. They can TELL everything except the truth. And the hand wringing..."I love him but can't tell him he just CAN'T love me like he acts like he does." WTF?

The first character’s story is interesting. The second is not as interesting to me, even though it’s the espionage stuff and should be. But the switching back and forth every chapter, just as the part your in gets on a roll , is tedious and makes me just with the book was over. I don’t think I’d mind it so much if it did as other books and had broader character sections. Not just every chapter.

Interesting and entertaining enough but we’re freaking half way thru and have no idea why the bad guys keep showing up or what they want. First time I’ll give it to you as but why does the heroine keep doing the same things that out her in harms way with the bad guys? How dumb is she? Why can’t she get help? Too many WTFs? take the fun out of a book.

I enjoyed it up until now. But it's becoming just more of the same, dragging on like a newsreel not like a story. Just listing addresses and occupants during a passing of time. I don't usually post updates but after all the glowing reviews about the book I imagine that in this last hour of the audio book some great revelation will occur that catches me so by surprise that I forget I didn't enjoy the whole thing.

LIstening on audio and can't understand how I ALWAY still have HOURS to go! It's good but NEVER ENDING! It just boils down to a constant asking "will I HATE the ending or not?"
I have never had a book I've made it almost to the end of and am ready to quit. Jeez Loooeeez.

Got the audio version and am finally caught up to where I was in the book (William lost his horse and is wandering in fog) and find myself more interested. I really do better with all books #4 on in audio format. Otherwise I get too bogged down with minutia and lose interest.

Not loving it as much as the first 2, namely because it's starting to beat an old drum- the partners don't trust anyone including each other. Regardless of how many secrets they've kept or times they've saved each other... Blech... It goes so far it makes Holt look like he's not smart. I'm still enjoying it but it's not keeping me up wanting to know what happens.

Only half way done but love it so much. I so enjoy the authentic portrayal of Roper, and adore how Hooley not only "gets" but appreciates him. So good!

Oh my lanta....Yes we get that something happened to Jaya's mother in India...that's been beaten into our brains for 234 pages.... I just almost don't care anymore what it was. I just have no urge to go read this book when I have the chance. Not even being on audio helps. I'll give it another night or two of bedtime reading. I hope it can change my mind.

Really enjoying this book but my loan keeps expiring before I can finish it. Have my name on the holds list once again.

Okay how many bad mothers can the cast of characters in one book have? Geez Loo-eez... Like the premise so far, but it's a bit slow moving/scattered compared to the other 2 books I've read by her. It started out gripping but then the bounce back between characters over time periods of them doing nothing is hard to stay interested in.

Well the book has gone from interesting to can't put it down to weird then back to interesting... Wondering how it's going to wrap up.

A few hours into the audio version and Titus Welliver, the actor who plays Bosch in the Amazon series, is the reader.... AMAZING!!! Loving the story and the visual of Titus as Bosch.
