Okay now we’re beginning to lag a bit. Although I guess I should appreciate the build up.

Pleasantly surprised so far.

Everything started crumbling and Chevie’s first instinct was to get her gun, so now everything about her is annoying me. It’s like those stupid characters in movies that shoot chaotically at the thing that doesn’t respond to bullets but they genuinely think they’re going to save the world.

I find it hard to believe I already read this once before because I am so bored. Also, I have thoughts on Cleopatra crossing an ocean to see a man she hadn’t been with in years. Twice.

I really don’t care about these two. And it also bugged me that Mason was comparing her new two week relationship to that of her brother’s with a girl he knew from childhood.

Yeah I’m really only caring about Heather at this point.

Ever since before I even began the first book I’ve been trying to figure out if this is a part of the Wonderous Strange universe, it’s been so long since I read that trilogy I’m kind of surprised I even made the connection.

Haven’t decided how I fully feel about this but I already downloaded the following two books.

Everyone else right now: obsessed with Greek mythology.
Me: How much do I actually know about Norse mythology?
This thought inspired by my other current read.

Another Cleopatra based novel I’m about to give up on.

Can’t sleep, need answers.

I wasn’t in much of a headspace to read about bombings (don’t think I ever really am so maybe odd book choice I know) so I was a little put off, but now that it’s more murder mystery it’s got my attention.

He uses a lot of exclamation points‼️

One thing I needed to know from this is if William Frawley was a curmudgeon towards him or at least had a soft spot towards the kid. Answer’s somewhere in the middle.

It was losing me so I skipped ahead a few chapters, hopefully now that it’s more paranormal it’ll pick up.

Usually with Kiersten White’s horror novels my rule has become don’t read before bed because my mind will get ahead of itself, but this just has a strange sense of calm. For a murder mystery anyway."

One of my favorite things to do as a “Lucy” fan was to argue with people that “no Little Ricky was not Desi Jr.” Last time I said that, it prompted someone to argue that he was; only to come back with “ wait just looked it up never mind.”🤭

My post-flu brain decided my unending recovery would be better spent watching Hallmark movies instead of reading so the only time I thought of this was to remind myself that it will be expiring soon.

My hold for this came in a day before I was knocked out by the flu and I’m just now focusing enough to read. 🤒

I’ve wanted to read this for so long and now I just can’t get into. Not sure if I’m not in the mood to read or if it just hasn’t captured my attention, maybe both since I also don’t want to start anything else but this also wouldn’t be the first book by this author I give up on.

She’s here, she’s in a memory, she’s talking about things that happened after her death. The post death stuff is really off putting, I get it’s supposed to be her telling her story after the fact, but dead Cleopatra telling her tale feels weird.

My mom and I used to drive by a nice neighborhood always noting a large house being built, I’d always joke “I gotta marry Rich…ard” at some point it turned into “I gotta find Dick,” which I still sometimes say, often miss wording it unintentionally.
Just inspired to share that, plus it felt like a Quinn-esk type of ramble.

I’m into this enough that I want to hurry up and finish but can’t stand it for too long while actually reading.

I don’t know if I care enough to keep going.

2. Why are the illustrations for scenes you wouldn’t want anyone looking over your shoulder to see?
