So far this book has been a step up from the first in this series. Certainly a much darker tone, these characters are going through it in some of the worst ways possible and so far it has yet to really get objectively better for anyone. But I am locked in on this narrative and these characters. Erickson knows how to write a compelling ass world with people I really do genuinely want to know more about. Will read more
