There are very few books I have not been able to finish. Unfortunately this is one of them. I gave up on page 104. I felt the writing was repetitive and I just couldn’t connect with the characters.

This audio book is being read by the author, which hooked me right from the start! MK thinks she is a devout Christian until one day her young son asks if his Jewish friend will go to hell when she dies. Thus MK starts questioning many of the beliefs she always had. She eventually drifts away from her church and with the help of much therapy, she finally finds a Church and Congregation that she is once again ok with.

Roxannah is the daughter of an impoverished Lord in ancient Persia. She dreams of a better life for herself and mother. After her father’s death her dreams start to come true when she is given the opportunity to become a lowly cook’s assistant in Queen Esther’s kitchen.
This is a very well written story.

I have abandoned this terrible book!!!!
