What a great story of kindness and how one simple act can change many people's lives.

I loved how the main character learned to work through her grief by joining her husband's book club after his death, learning more about him and herself in the process. I also appreciated the overall message about neurodivergent disorders and the insight as to how they affect people differently.

I liked the references to Lord of the Rings and other books, but was disappointed at how little the book actually was about Oscar. I also found the graphic and misogynistic sex scenes to be offensive. Maybe I'm becoming prudish in my old age, but I hate the wham bam and beat you silly mam narratives and don't enjoy reading them, so I give this book an iver all thumbs down.

Wow, this is a good one! A girl learns of her families history from her mother back to her great grandmother, finding out about their tragic stories, struggles and accomplishments. We also learn of the history of 20th century Greek history...did you know there was a Greek island were people with leprosy were kept isolated until an effectivecure was discovered? Read on.

I can't really say this was a surprisingly delightful book because it's no surprise as all of Patricl Rothfuss' books are awesom, but this one was delightful, in a surprisingly unexpected way.

This is a big book! People have asked me if its worth the time to read and I would say a definite yes. It's a classic for a reason and is an in depth look at Tzarist Russia during the Nepoleanic war of 1812 and its aftermath.

I'm loving these books as much as the TV series.
