I'm liking the structure and storytelling.

Chapter 1 covers the historical context of the Sierra villages of what is now Soria Province in Castilla y León, Spain. I found it interesting that the full, ugly weight of feudalism was not levied on these villages until after the Edict of Expulsion of the Jews in 1492. The dukes lost their source of cash since the Jewish residents paid nearly all the taxes apparently.

So far, I'm loving this book. The premise that genius is not born but formulated by a dash of good genetics incubated in the petri dish of right-time and right-place is well conceived and written.
