Really enjoying this: it's adding much-needed depth to my relationship with certain cards! I do think the negatives associated with the Majors so far has been a bit repetitive, and there's A LOT of citing/analyzing scholars without Burgess always offering much to the conversation.

Grace is the WORST unlikeable character I think I've ever encountered. Why? Because he's meant to be likeable and Weir fails at every turn.

Trying this one again because I'm going with my book club to see the movie, and I can't be the only one who hasn't read it 🥸

This started off slow and was hard to keep up with thanks to all the characters and government factions, but damn I love some good political machinations and true enemies-to-lovers vibes. "I hate your guts but also wanna flirt with you" at its finest.

Apparently I can suffer from FOMO, because here I am, reading the Canadian hockey yaoi.

Not the most gripping, but it's compulsively readable and does cool things with the idea of real-world horrors versus supernatural horrors.

God, I wish I had a physical copy on hand to quote from. The last chapter was where Purvis the author came through as opposed to her writing as the actual narrator, and it slapped.
