Starting this because Malinda Lo cannot stop talking about it in "A Scatter of Light" and now I HAVE to read it

How is this book getting gayer?

Gay autistic Darcy is the representation I never knew needed

Listened to almost 3 hours of this audiobook in one sitting. To say it's good it's an understatement.

I've been anticipating this book for the entire year and I'm glad to say it was well worth the wait! It's phenomenal! Also it's set in my hometown! As a sapphic person who had zero representation in their hometown growing up, this is healing stuff.

This is so queer coded I can't

Oscillating between 2 and 3 stars for this, just because the edition in itself is gorgeous and the illustrations are stunning. But it's 2024 folks. We could do without highly misogynistic tales of manly bravery.

WIFE? WIFE????

Almost gave it up at around 60% because it got too hetero for my taste, glad it picked up again.

So wild to me that people, even therapists, consider HSP and ASD people as being two separate categories then go on and describe HSP people using only ASD characteristics. Who's gonna tell them?

How I've not heard about this one until I met the author? Feeling attacked because it's such a shame! It's brilliant!

On ep 68/80

Don't know why I couldn't get into this book the last time around but damn it's good. Queer books always hit different.

This one really is better than RWRB. I'm glad to see all that potential met and damn I'm a sucker for the found family trope. Throw in some sapphic romance and I'm sold.

I feel like slapping all the men in this book 😤

I feel like continuing with this series was long overdue so here we go

I'm enjoying this so far, it's a 4⭐ reads for me, definitely a summer read and exactly what I need right now. Don't think I'd reread it though. But something resonates with me so much: the fact that Emily doesn't even realise she's queer because she's so preoccupied to fill in the image of who she is supposed to be, in this cishet filled society. The image someone else had of her instead of exploring who she really i

So, here we go! I've been highly anticipating this one since I've heard about it, because it's right up my alley and now I'm finally starting it.

Will I finish this book or will it finish me?
