Almost there!

Loving where this book is going. Even though it’s taking me a long time I actually am enjoying the book. Very excited to see where it goes. Especially with Rowan now completing his first killing. I would definitely watch if it was a movie.

Although it’s taking me some time to read, I’m really enjoying this book. I’ve taken a liking to the third POV, and the storyline is great. For my first dystopian in a while, I’m loving the plot. Rowan and Citra might have to glean each other, and they’re just starting to realize their feelings. So is starting to get really interesting. I’m excited to see how this turns out.

The book is going pretty good so far. I’m liking the third person point of view. I believe this is the first book in a long time that I’ve read in third person but I actually like this one. Very interested to see where this is going considering that neither Rowan or Citra want to be scythes. Right now I’m really just fascinated by learning about this post mortality world.

Very interesting start to the book. Excited to learn more about how this world works. Just the technology of the ring and being able to grant immunity is interesting. Excited to see where this goes.

Going pretty well so far. I love the west Frieda has developed the characters. A lot of people are sus right now but nothing “bad” has really happened. No one is being abused or super weird/rude. Pretty slow start and developing characters and seeing the scene. We’re almost at 50% of the book tho.

Where tf is book going? Right now I think that Nora took up her father’s practice. I think either Nora is killing those girls or she’s getting someone to kill them just like how her father killed them. That’s the only thing that make senses.

Something is SUS. Could it be Christian?? Who else has legal medical access and wouldn’t want Christian to talk??

Ok now I’m starting to think that Alicia really is crazy and was imagining the whole thing. I’m at the part in Alicia’s story what she describes the night of the murder. It seems as though when she imagined the man tying HER up, she was really tying up Gabriel. Let’s see where this goes because right now I’m thinking it’s either actually Alicia or Gabriel’s brother Alex. Let’s seeeeeee

Wow I am very suprised by how much I like this book. This book is different than the ones I was reading in where you already know who the killer is and now we’re understating and dissecting the WHY. It helps that the main character is a psychoanalyst. He brings a very interesting POV yet he’s fucked up in his own way that he hasn’t yet learned from. Excited to continue the story.

I’m just tryna finish at this point. Things I learned from reading this book: I don’t like mystery detective genre - interludes can be confusing if you’re unsure if it’s the past or alternate present. I’m almost done at this point and it’s been a drag. Not as suspenseful as I would like. More twist and turns would have been good.

Okay so. I’m liking the book. I know if this was a movie I would love it. However as a book I’m not so sure. I’m definitely enjoying the plot. It’s a slow suspense. So every now and then there’s a good plot twist but it’s not heavy like McFadden. We just found out that new serial killer is graces brother. So I’m very curious to see where this goes.

As a psychology major, I knew that there were three stages to trauma recovery: establishing safety, retelling the story of what happened (preferably to a trained professional), and reconnecting with others.

I’m convinced it’s Jack. It has to be.

This book is starting to piss me off. This is not a good Frieda book at all. Everyone is either stupidly dying or all of the sudden missing. There better be a good explanation for this shit. Not impressed at all.

Holy fuck. Asa is really gonna get away with the shit. All I can think now is that Asa is mentally unstable so if/when they release him, the first think that he is doing is going after Sloan and Luke. I was gonna binge read it and finish it tonight but I’d rather wait to read some more tomorrow morning with my cup of tea 🍵. Very excited and interested to see how this ends.

Such a great plot. I’m loving them characters unfold as well as watching their interactions between them. Carter and Sloan seem like they are only good together on paper. I feel like if they actually tried it wouldn’t work. I have no clue where the plot is going but I hope it leads with ASA out the picture. That man has a delusional perspective of reality. Very delusional

OMFG first of all Asa is the worst character I’ve ever come across. This man is a complete dick and sick in the head. There’s so many directions the plot could go right now. But I’m hoping Sloan can get out of this situation and Asa ends up dead. I don’t even if Carter and Sloan don’t get together. Asa just needs to die

Had to put legendborn on pause as it was causing me to lose motivation. Very glad I picked this book up. First chapter already has me intrigued. The road to 10 books in the year continues 🥳

OMFG. So many suspects. I had suspected Anne for a while and now my suspicions may just be confirmed. She was always giving creepy assistant who’s obsessed with boss. Deputy Hudson was sus too. He is not off the table just yet. Almost done and I think we’re gonna start seeing the full puzzle soon.

OK so Kelly’s husband is the cop. So him being the killer is very much a possibility. But Sarah just found the picture of Adam and Kelly with “End it or I will”. So now I’m thinking that Adam has a third lover who went crazy. Very curious to see how this pans out.

Interested to see where this goes. Started a lil slow. I think that’s because they are trying to set the scene. Getting used to someone else’s writing style besides Frieda. Jeneva is very detailed in her imagery. So I’m embracing that aspect. She leaves little to nothing to the imagination. This should be an interesting plot to see how being a lawyer and wife affects the case and the unraveling of the story.

Still don’t only where we’re going with the plot. Addie is giving lowkey crazy vibes because why works you still someone’s house key?? She’s very obsessive. Eve is just as obsessive except it’s about shoes and her distaste for her husband. The constant change in POV was a little confusing at first but I’ve managed. Plot of good enough for me to keep reading and interested to see where it goes.

Really loving the book so far. McFadden has done it again. Her writing style is exceptional. Millie is starting to become more annoying the more I read about her they’re making it seem like Douglas is the villain, but for some reason I get an inkling that it could be WENDY. Excited to see where it goes and I’m loving it so far.

OMG. Is verity faking it??? is the husband drugging her? I mean what the fuck is going on? Jeremy and Lowen were about to get it on and then she sees verity at the top of the stairs. I’m shook. I feel like Crew really knows what’s going on. Child intuition. But who knows I am still so confused at where this book is heading, but if Verity really is faking it why? And how did the daughters die?? So many questions.

This book has been great so far. It’s kind of like reading two books in one. This is my first time reading a Colleen Hoover book and her writing style was pretty good very similar to Frieda McFadden. I’m starting to think that it may be like the housemaid where the husband is really the crazy one, but who knows verity seems off.

I can not believe Millie slept with Andrew. Are you ducking crazy???!!! You know Nina is crazy asf. I have no idea where this is going. She better be careful. For some reason I was thinking they would try to use her a surrogate but I don’t think so.
