So the conflict so far is that the priest/monk fellow (Konstantin) is trying to exorcise away the small spirits/old gods that the people of this village still worship, but our MC (Vasya) is aware that they are necessary (to some degree, I think it's mostly subconscious) and is continuing to pay tribute to them and now a horse is teaching her how to ride it bareback. Things are still moving slow.

It's been an interesting read so far. The first part is very very slow and I feel like a large part of it could have been cut down, condensed or summarized. Like the first part was a complete drag. But now that we are getting into the actual plot of the book things are beginning to actually excite me!

Rereading via audiobook and being reminded once again why this is one of my fave PTerry books. Colon and Nobby are a hoot. Vimes being subtly maneuvered by Vetinari is always great. Looking forward to many different parts of this book.

Interesting so far, although some of the language is clunky, and a few random sentences seem to have no purpose. Main character is a little irritating so far, too. Hopefully she'll be less so later on.

Interesting read. I hate cliff hanger endings, but I'll definitely be reading the next one.
