I’m early a quarter of the way in and don’t see myself finishing this one.

Definitely loving the humor as always with this series. But disappointed to hat the bulk has been just about the romance instead of a plot or story. Kinda boring to be honest.

I’m struggling to keep going.

I did not realize that the audiobook narrator I can’t stand the most is reading parts of this book. Ugh. I hate it when narrators whisper important parts of the story or read with a breathy voice so it’s next to impossible to hear.

The way the FMC is written just seems so off and unwoman-like, so I looked and sure enough, it’s a male author trying to write as a woman. Ugh, let’s see if we make it through this one but I’m predicting a DNF in its future.

14 hours & still 2 to go. This is a long one. I do like it, but it’s just hard to stay focused when it takes 4 pages to get to the point again and again . This could have been 12 hours or less easy.

I think I get it by now, she’s a victim & had been treated like a pariah her hole life. I feel bad for her. I do. But can the story move on without having to continually show how much of a victim she is and how shitty the people are. That news reporter is not believable at all.

She is so damn stupid. I mean absolutely stupid. Her ignorance is beyond annoying & exhausting.

I feel like this could end here, but it still has over 3 hours left. Hmmmm

I get that the MC is supposed to be ‘endearing’ & quirky with her rambling questions and comments but good grief I just want to shout STFU at her when she begins her mindless chatter. It’s NOT endearing. At all.

Sometimes Penny is just so stupid

I did not want to read about Abigail. If I wanted to read a sapphic YA Romance, I’d have picked up a sapphic YA Romance & not what is supposed to be an Adult UF. WTF Aaronovitch?

It started out pretty good, but it is dragging on. I still have almost 4 hours to go audiobook and I’m struggling to keep going. I’m just over the story and ready for it to end.

I really like this author. This is the second book of hers I’ve read & both times I was immediately sucked in & invested.

Grandma is a HOOT!
