I did not want to read about Abigail. If I wanted to read a sapphic YA Romance, I’d have picked up a sapphic YA Romance & not what is supposed to be an Adult UF. WTF Aaronovitch?

It started out pretty good, but it is dragging on. I still have almost 4 hours to go audiobook and I’m struggling to keep going. I’m just over the story and ready for it to end.

I really like this author. This is the second book of hers I’ve read & both times I was immediately sucked in & invested.

Well damn. I swore I wouldn’t touch another book with Lucas Davenport in it by John Sandford but here I go. It’s because he mixed in Virgil Flowers & lord have mercy I just love that fuckin’ Flowers! I hope John doesn’t ruin this one too with his woke bullshit.

I was a bit nervous about starting this book after the woke blabber that was his last book. I can say, so far so good with this one. There have been a few little woke blips but they are minor & I’m adult enough to be able to role my eyes and just go on. It is a bit boring at times, but I’m accustom to Connolly’s writing so I know every small side story eventually leads to something big. Eventually.

The bouncing around from past to present with so many different points of view is not only annoying but hard to follow & keep straight.

Not exactly insta-love but as damn close as it gets. That L word sure came out fast.

Figured I’d try out another known romance author I used to avoid like the plague. I hate sappy romance and over the top sex scenes, so I would normally steer clear of her BUT since I had a bit of success with Nora Robert’s I figured why the hell not.

Well this WAS a good book until now. Ugh.
