This book just keeps going on and on with no plot to be found 😆

Lots of monsters but I’m still looking for the plot 🫣

So the love interest is a ghost. As in the ghost of Christmas past or something and yet he can be seen by everyone, can drink coffee and is a solid being and can kiss and stuff. I’ve read too many ghost stories to buy into this 🤨. He’s a magical immortal being but he is no 👻 and this is bugging me to no end.

I reserved this from the library so long ago I forgot it was a holiday book 🙃

I have no idea what page we are an actually on with this podcast readalong but it is just as harrowing as I expected. Thankfully the hosts of Banned Camp throw in humor to make it tolerable.

It's so nice being free of ARC commitments. Now I can actually read the backlist of authors like Sodergren that I kept meaning to read but never finding the time.

I kept getting the feeling that I’d read this book before and it’s because I HAVE. It was included in the Creeoy Court anthology I reviewed last year 🤦‍♀️. The new cover got me. lol It’s short so I may as well finish.

“Disappearing is an expensive magic trick.” At least she’s honest, if only with herself.

So the gist I’m getting is that no matter what choice a woman makes she’s basically f*cked and someone will look down on her choices so we should do what we want 🥳
