It's so nice being free of ARC commitments. Now I can actually read the backlist of authors like Sodergren that I kept meaning to read but never finding the time.

I kept getting the feeling that I’d read this book before and it’s because I HAVE. It was included in the Creeoy Court anthology I reviewed last year 🤦‍♀️. The new cover got me. lol It’s short so I may as well finish.

“Disappearing is an expensive magic trick.” At least she’s honest, if only with herself.

So the gist I’m getting is that no matter what choice a woman makes she’s basically f*cked and someone will look down on her choices so we should do what we want 🥳

The pace is frightfully slow, the jumping around is hurting my head but I must know all the secrets so I will keep going.

These sad, unsatisfied, depressed, grieving people are making me sad but it's the switching all around in POV and timeline that is really slowing things down. Tell me everything, all at once, lol!!

I don’t know if it’s the book, the narrator or me but it feels so slow moving that I’m doing everything I can to stay focused. Including rewinding. 😩
