I either pity, despise or both all of the characters in this book.

500+ pages of baby talk? Why is this rated as one of the best books about families and on the 1001 Books You Should Read Before You Die List? It's irritating to say the least and the mother character is absolutely awful.

When he was in his late twenties Christopher Knight decided to abandon civilization and disappear into the woods. For the next twenty years he lived as a hermit. Instead of hunting or fishing he chose to feed himself by burglarizing summer cabins which ultimately led to his capture. If he hadnt been captured nobody would have known he existed.

Putting this one on hold for now. I just can't in audio so I bought a paper copy from Amazon and am waiting on it to be shipped. There is still so much nothing going on that I keep forgetting what's supposed to not be happening.

This is my worst nightmare, trapped in a marriage with a man I despise and responsible for six kids.

I want to like this book but I'm finding it very difficult.

Listened to the author do a reading from his most novel at ConDFW. Cool Brains was the first in the series so I'm starting at the beginning. Very interesting so far.
