I'm reading this for a class I'm auditing and happy to do so--I've meant to read it for years so I welcome this opportunity to do so--and theopening is fascinating

I love this entry in the inspector Gamache series. Focused on Clara and her art, I'm enjoying the art scene and the characters so much that I was surprised when the murder occurerd--I forgyor it's a murder mystery

So powerful and painful

so far: a powerful, vivid and beautifully written memoir of Beirut -- sadly relevant today

She writes so wonderfully

I have gotten really invested in these characters!

Either each installment in the series is better than the last or (maybe more likely) I'm just so attached to the characters that my own enjoyment keeps increasing. Certainly though the quality of the books is at least consistent--light and amusing

Reading this for class. I'm having a hard time following the genealogy and finding what's important. Or maybe I'm just overwhelmed by the amount of information. For a short work, it's sure taking me a long time to get through!
