Almost DNF'ed but pushing through

I want to dnf. These characters are not the same as is previous books. The chemistry just isn't there and the way they talk to one another is different.

Loved it, appreciate the main character being older and this not being very predictable. It is solvable based on what you are told.

The writing style isn't for me. Didn't keep my attention.

Narrator is not for me and the story isn't either. Something about telling and not showing (a lot).

Watching the movie really helped me get through this book. Having a face for the name helps, especially with all of the characters that are introduced.

Is this a twist? It's still not very captivating. Would love it if things would pick up. Make some connections or something.

Listening to this book and to be honest the accent for the St Lucian characters and what they are saying sounds like a Jamaican in the 70s. It's also moving a bit slow.

This has got to be the worst book by Katie McGarry.

Which is a shame because I love most of her books and I love Boxing but the mix just doesn’t work for me. It might just be because I grow up in a boxing family but this is total bull. I know its fiction but I just cannot suspend logic for long enough to take this in.

Not that great and then they have the nerve to end on a cliff hanger, the one good point is that it put me in the mood to read some Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
