This book is utterly fascinating. An inside look at drug lords and how corrupt the Mexican authorities were/are. How the Mexican government would only take down drug dealers who didn't pay for protection and only then when pressure was high from the US. What is so shocking to me is how ruthless they were. But even more shocking is how Americans enable them from pilots to ranchers to guns, the list goes on.

Really like the writing and the delving into the minds of people and their relationships.

So very moving. If even half of what she writes is truly what the Vietnam war was like, I can not imagine what those who served went through.

Enlightening.

This book is about a family that experiences tragedy and never deals properly with it which ultimately leads to the mother having a hoarding problem. It is hard to read and very sad. Hoping for a happy ending.
