Suffering hard from middle book syndrome — 36% in and somehow loads has happened but also… nothing of actual substance. Sad times :(

He answers a call from his mam, puts it on speaker, and she finds out he’s seeing a girl. FMC is in his arms while he hypes her up. Mum gets excited, says she can’t wait to meet her future daughter-in-law.

And the FMC laughs… LAUGHS.
