Is there a story of an Irish family that DOESN'T include horrible domestic abuse????

Can already tell I am and will be obsessed with this.

I dislike this book so much.

Has won me over utterly with the opening lines--about how reading isn't about what you remember, but how the book made you feel.

The writing is so simplistic I cannot deal. I'm curious enough to power through, though. Have increased to 2.6x speed.

I love it so much so far.

I'm caught in dystopian parenting novels right now apparently.

Shocked that my hold at the library came through on pub day!

So far I would caution against listening to this as an audiobook, as at one point he READ a long index aloud in the introduction??

Absolutely biased, as Chris was once a very good friend. Very excited to jump in.

This book is trying to be too many things.

hilarious that i finished a book that I felt was just like Ready Player One and get this off my holds--and it's all about video games?!

Feels like a grown-up Ready Player One.

I had never read this before, and I truly always thought it was set in a foreign land.
