My second greatest shame is how dedicated I am to Big Brother. My first is that I listened to a nonfiction book about the history of the show.

Reading Curtis Sittenfeld’s backlist (beyond just Prep) is such a TREAT.

DNF at 50 pages. I loved The Kind Worth Killing, but this just isn't hitting the same. I also don't remember some of the finer points of that book, so I think I'm missing some of the easter eggs! Also, it's a tough jump to go from The God of the Woods (one of my fav thriller adjacent reads of the year) to this.

If you’ve been following the news for the past 4 years, this doesn’t add much else to the conversation, but it’s still a compelling narrative about the insidious nature of FB and how their current stature shouldn’t be surprising to any of us.

I’m going to finish this on audio so I can half listen while working. I reallyyy don’t get the hype for this. The hero and heroine are both pretty unlikable and boring, and the whole schtick of men reading romance novels really only drives home the point that I’m supposed to be impressed by men doing the bare minimum to display an ounce of emotional intelligence
