How does Fletcher keep doing this. Every book unlike any other

Reminds me of Flowers for Algernon a bit? There’s something so sweet and yet terribly sad about this world. Fletcher is so good at world-building through implication and inference.

Ambitious. Akin to Malazan, careful, patient reading is rewarded.

Harrowing, inventive grimdark … romantasy? It works

I like how many of these characters are straight up delusional and overconfident. Seems to be a connecting thread amongst most POVs
